About the race
Enjoy a crisp fall morning run or walk through the beautiful northwestern Rhode Island countryside at the height of foliage season.
Beginning and ending in historic Foster Center, our challenging course takes you down quiet country roads past historic sites and homes, pastoral meadows, and picturesque farmland. Proceeds support the South Foster Volunteer Fire Company.
This is a dog- and stroller-friendly event — please keep dogs leashed at all times. Plenty of free parking and portable restrooms on site.

Helpful info
- Online pre-registration closes October 16 at 11:59 PM.
- Register by October 1 to be guaranteed a race shirt. After October 1 (including day-of), shirts are first-come, first-served.
- Races start and end in the town center; use the Foster Fairgrounds lot (84 Foster Center Road) to park.
Prizes
- Every participant is entered to win a $100 gift certificate in the door-prize raffle.
- $50 cash prize & maple syrup to the overall male and female winners from Foster in each race (5K & 10K).
- Awards to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female in each age group:
5K: 12 & under, 13–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+.
10K: under 19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+.

Sponsoring the race puts your business in front of hundreds of participants and directly funds the training and equipment South Foster relies on. Sponsorship forms, checks, and logos are due by September 20, 2026.
